Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention to the present. When mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judgement as to good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living each moment and awakening to experience.

The practice of mindfulness is now being incorporated into the psychological treatment of many clinical conditions.

Weaving mindfulness creatively into treatments is a particular interest and focus for Rowe Psychology.

Rowe Psychology uses mindfulness meditation in stress management and relaxation training, treatment of anxiety disorders, sleep problems, and incorporates techniques of mindfulness into treatment approaches of almost all clinical conditions, especially depression. Robyn Rowe is a practitioner of mindfulness meditation, and pursues an active interest in the area of meditation and related areas, as well as their application to clinical problems and their role in well-being.

If you are interested in this treatment approach we would encourage you to make an appointment, and please mention in your initial appointment that you would like mindfulness as part of your treatment.
